c Chicago. week 43. Ireland Trip. Part 3. Cliffs of Moher

The Cliffs of Moher were my favorite.
They definitely made me feel my mini-ness.

c week 43. Ireland Trip. Part 2.

Here are some more pix from C Chicago & my trip to Ireland (with the fam):

Powerscourt Gardens in Enniskerry, Ireland

Bru Na Boinne!  A passage tomb constructed by neolithic architects in 3000 BC with perfect alignment to allow the winter solstice sunrise to penetrate into the inner chamber!
Makes me remember how we were kicked out of Graceland Cemetary our first week of the blog,
and here I am sitting in front of the roof box at Newgrange,
a neolithic monument older than Stonehedge and the Pyramids.

c Ireland (Chicago). week 42. trip to Ireland! part 1

this week C and I went to Ireland with her family!!
We stayed at the Ritz Carlton Powerscourt Hotel!

it was great to finally get out of C's traveling bag.  turns out she hadn't purchased me a plane ticket, so I had to spend 10 hours in her backpack.

the hotel was lovely, with a gorgeous view of a garden.  so nice to be away from work for a while.
Our first big adventure was to Glendalaugh.  A ruin of a monastic settlement.
This is an old window of a church. The stone work here blows me away (almost literally).

All of a sudden, so that C could concentrate on some "drawings", she put me in this stone box, high up.  What the.... although it was kind of cozy.

All these castles and cathedrals make me feel epic.
This land has such a longer history than our 42 weeks.

After our long first day of traveling, I decided I wanted to stay at the cathedral.
no more driving on those crazy small corkscrew Irish roads for me.

more soon, i am exhausted with jet lag just now.

c Chicago. week 41. happy b-day to my cc.

p.s.  As C wrote below, I arrived home here in Chicago in the wee hours of the morning, only to find myself stuck in a tree.  Of course before C helped me down she took the opportunity to take some pictures.  Isn't that just like her; all for art she be.  Anywho, I too am taking a week break, from my work at NASA, to visit Ireland with C and her family.   The whole Donovan-Warren clan is heading to our homeland!  Hope to make it past immigration...

C Chicago. week 41. c in a tree.

dear c & C,
I woke up this morning to find c and her parachute stuck hanging from a tree in our backyard.
She had parachuted down from space and had been hanging in the tree for hours.
It had started to rain.

Thank goodness she is alright and that she got home in time to fly to Ireland with me tomorrow!
How funny, you 2 are off to Italy and we are off to Ireland!
Cannot wait to see your travel photos.

Most sincerely,
C

c London. week 40. carry that weight.

it's week 40...   holy    @*($(&%+%&$&_*$##!!

just wanted to share a couple things i came across while out and about this week doing some research for

Her Majesty...

i found this sweet wall that tons of people would come together and write on...

"Abbey Road Studios"

c from Chicago. week 39. week 1 at NASA.

dear c,
My meeting with President Obama was in strictest confidence, so I cannot discuss much here (I suspect the Russians are monitoring the blog and don't want to start another space race, although maybe Nick, Colin, Andrew Johnson and I can race for space! RACE FOR SPACE!).   C and I were able to catch up via cell phone (I believe you call them mobile phone's now?).  C gave me her old cell phone and it is completely ridiculous!  How can I show my face at NASA with that thing?  Anyway, she seems good, in tech again, this time at the Next Theatre for The Metal Children.

I have started my work here planning our next space mission.  Hopefully soon I can announce our destination!

More soon,
c

p.s. I am actually starting to miss C.  I hope I am not away too long.

c London. week 39. nightmare Queen.

it is the month of the wedding...

and the stress is really getting to me.

i have so little time to accomplish my task.

i keep having nightmares

that i am late for my meeting with the Queen.

i can never quite catch the bus.

and when i finally arrive...

she has already gone.
