The Super Flea
i had never seen anything quite like it. it was curious...
why do they call it a flea market?...
i began to ask people...
"Some believe that the original goods were infested"
"Because maybe everybody bothers one another there like fleas?"
"...becasue everybody takes to a flea market like fleas take to a dog"
"Because the Indians who sell stuff try to suck your money like a flea sucks blood."
Between the dead baby dolls and all of these answers, i grabbed my camera and got the hell out of there...
i couldn't help but to look it up when i got home...
Flea Market: The term appeared in British English in the early 1920's and is a direct translation of the French term marché aux puce-market of the fleas.
c, did you ever go to one when you were living in France?
p.s. carm is doing better. C put a new velvet bandage on her. She told me that eventually my hand will grow back.
